What is EFT? EFT is an energy therapy. Based on the ancient Chinese healing system of acupuncture it was developed by success coach Gary Craig who was looking for a way to help people to release the things that were holding them back and stopping them from achieving and realizing their full potential. He had trained in Thought Field Therapy, the forerunner of EFT. Thought field therapy TFT was developed by psychologist Dr Roger Callahan and was the first therapy to marry the skills of psychology (mind) with meridian therapy (body).
Gary Craig created EFT as a way to simplify the process making it easier to use and therefore accessible to many more people. It is based on the premise that energy flows through our bodies along meridians that connect to each other and to our organs. The body’s energy system resembles an electrical circuit, when we’re under stress of any sort, physical or emotional the energy meridian that is being effected can become blocked or even shut down.
EFT, tapping on the meridian points instead of using traditional needles, clears the blockage and restores the body’s equilibrium. It is thought that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system, and if we can clear the blockage, energy can flow once more. EFT has amazing results with trauma, allergies, fears, anxieties, anger, healing relationships, addictions and can be used to help you achieve your goals.
