Why do some diets work for some and not for others?  Why can some people lose weight easily while others struggle to lose a pound or two?  Why is it possible for some people to lose weight on a particular diet and yet impossible for them to re-visit the same diet and lose the weight a second time?

Success or failure with dieting and with everything else you do is all down to motivation and attitude.  It’s not the diet that works, it’s the motivation you feel and the attitude you have that does the trick.  Look back at any successful diet you’ve ever been on and remember how motivated you were, how well you felt and how easy it was.

Without motivation or the right attitude you’ll be fighting a losing battle.  That’s why some of the people in every weight loss group are enjoying success and others are either failing miserably or going along at a snail’s pace.  If you’re one of those who’ve given up or you’re one of the slow movers you’ll know it doesn’t seem fair when some people get off  the scales with big smiles on their faces and you dread getting on them.

Find the motivation you need to Think Yourself Thin

All really successful dieters have a great attitude; it’s impossible to achieve success without it.  With the right attitude you’ll be carried along on a tide of motivation; noticing how well things are going and how well you feel.

When diets aren’t working, naturally, attitude stinks. The struggle could feel like battling an incoming tide without getting anywhere.  After some time of getting nowhere fast you may give up, believing, “That diet isn’t for me,” or, “The timing is wrong,” or “I haven’t got the willpower.”

None of that is true; it’s not the diet, the timing, the lack of willpower or any of the other things that normally get the blame for failure.  Failure is all down to wrong attitude and lack of motivation.  Wrong attitude and a lack of motivation go hand in hand and it’s a complete waste of time starting a diet without working on these areas first or at least working on them alongside the healthy eating plan itself.

Having the right attitude is absolutely essential for any healthy eating plan to work.  If you’re in the wrong state of mind, you won’t be motivated to exercise or follow your chosen plan.  But how can you get into the right frame of mind, where does motivation come from, can you order it at will or do you have to wait until it makes an appearance?

I’ve discovered that there’s a woeful lack of knowledge about how feelings and states of mind are created.  It’s not common knowledge that they are all self-created by the thoughts we think and the attitudes we hold about life.  Everything from depression to motivation is a result of thinking.  Change the thoughts, change the attitude, change the way you feel and results will change.

Find the motivation you need to get the body you’ve always wanted

All the motivation you could possible need is already inside of you and accessing it is a skill you can learn.  When you can stir up motivation at will the weight loss plan of your choice can work for you.  Get into the right mind-set and becoming slim can be and should be a pleasure.
